India Yamaha Motor conducted a Mega Mileage Challenge in Hyderabad to highlight the fuel efficiency of its hybrid motorcycles and scooters. Customers participated in the event, which showcased the benefits of Smart Motor Generator and Stop & Start systems
Hyderabad: India Yamaha Motor (IYM) hosted the Mega Mileage Challenge in Hyderabad for the FZ-S Fi Hybrid motorcycle and 125cc Fi Hybrid scooters – Fascino 125 Fi and RayZR 125 Fi – to educate customers about the fuel efficiency delivered by the Hybrid Technology featuring Smart Motor Generator (SMG) system and its benefits.
Organised in collaboration with top Yamaha Blue Square dealerships, the challenge witnessed enthusiastic participation from Yamaha customers and their family members.
The Smart Motor Generator (SMG) and Stop & Start System (SSS) optimise fuel economy and, as a result, also reduce emissions. These systems ensure quieter starts, electric-assisted torque for acceleration and engine shutdown during idle, ultimately conserving fuel, a press release said.
Kicking off the challenge, Yamaha motorcycles and scooters were fuelled and set off on a dedicated route – 65 km for motorcycles and 35 km for scooters – starting from Naren Gardens Convention Centre in Hyderabad and returning to the same point.
