Emphasising the pivotal role of youth in shaping India’s future, Vice President Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan on Tuesday urged graduating students to align their ambitions with national priorities and actively contribute to building a “Viksit Bharat by 2047.”
Addressing the 3rd Convocation Ceremony of IIMT University, Meerut, the Vice President described the occasion as not just the culmination of academic efforts, but the beginning of a lifelong journey of responsibility toward nation-building.
Highlighting the rapid pace of development across the country, the Vice President said students are entering a phase where India is “brimming with opportunities” driven by transformative infrastructure and policy initiatives.
He pointed to flagship projects like the Namo Bharat Train and the Meerut Metro, recently inaugurated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, as examples of modern, sustainable connectivity that are reshaping urban mobility and opening new economic avenues.
“These initiatives are not just infrastructure projects — they are catalysts for growth, connectivity, and opportunity,” he said.

“These achievements are setting new benchmarks and inspiring future generations toward a more inclusive and progressive India,” he noted.
