Tamil Nadu Rises as Manufacturing Powerhouse Amid Political Tensions with BJP Government – News Directory 3

Industries Minister TRB Rajaa highlighted that Tamil Nadu recorded 11.19% economic growth after a 14-year gap, with manufacturing as the primary driver of this development model.

Tamil Nadu has emerged as a leading manufacturing hub in India, maintaining its industrial growth despite political tensions with the Bharatiya Janata Party-led central government. The state's Chief Minister M K Stalin credited this progress to the Dravidian model of governance, emphasizing investments in infrastructure, skill development, and a stable business environment.

According to the Union government's Annual Survey of Industries 2023-24, Tamil Nadu ranks first in industrial employment, accounting for 15.24% of all factory workers in the country. The survey also showed the state hosts over 40,100 factories, the highest in India, reinforcing its position as both the talent and manufacturing capital of the nation.

Industries Minister TRB Rajaa highlighted that Tamil Nadu recorded 11.19% economic growth after a 14-year gap, with manufacturing as the primary driver of this development model. He contrasted the state's focus on job creation with other states that prioritize investment numbers, stating that one in every six factory workers in India comes from Tamil Nadu despite the state comprising only 5-6% of the national population.

While other states focus on investment numbers, we focus on jobs.

The survey outcome is a fitting reply given by the BJP government at the centre to Mr Amit Shah and Mr Palaniswami who criticise the DMK regime.

Stalin asserted that the central government's own survey data silenced critics, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah and AIADMK leader Edappadi K Palaniswami, who had questioned his administration's performance. He emphasized that the achievements were made possible through projects initiated by the DMK government, maintenance of law and order, improvements to the business environment, development of basic infrastructure like uninterrupted electricity and transportation, and skilling initiatives for the youth.

We live by Dravidianism! Dravidianism elevates us, and makes everyone live.

History of the Dravidian Model regime's achievements will continue.

The people will reject the slander hurled against the DMK regime due to political vendetta lacking substance.

Tamil Nadu continues to be the No. 1 in industrial employment, with 15.24 % of all factory workers in India.

Tamil Nadu has become the largest industrial workforce of India, and not just the fastest-growing economy.

Tamil Nadu is India's Manufacturing Powerhouse: – 38,800 factories (Gujarat: 28,000) – 12.7% of India's manufacturing GDP – Diversity: Automotive, Electronics, and Aerospace

The state's industrial success spans multiple sectors, including automotive, electronics, and aerospace, contributing significantly to India's manufacturing output. Despite political differences with the central government, Tamil Nadu continues to strengthen its industrial base through state-led initiatives focused on sustainable employment and inclusive growth under the Dravidian development model.
