Samsung Rolls Out Galaxy Buds 2 Pro Firmware Update R510XXUOAZD1 in India – Improves Stability and Reliability – News Directory 3

As noted in the changelog, the update improves the device's behaviour in terms of stability, and reliability.

Samsung is rolling out a new software update for the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro in India, marking the first update for the device in nearly a year. The update, which is 6.11MB in size and carries firmware version R510XXUOAZD1, focuses on improving stability and reliability according to the official changelog.

The update was first reported by SamMobile on April 22, 2026, based on information from tipster Tarun Vats. It follows similar software releases for Samsung's newer Galaxy Buds 3 lineup, including the FE model, and continues Samsung's pattern of minor updates for its wireless earbuds that prioritize performance refinement over new features.

As noted in the changelog, the update improves the device's behaviour in terms of stability, and reliability. Users can expect more consistent performance, including fewer connection drops, with audio performance potentially feeling slightly more refined. Samsung has confirmed that no new features are included in this release, as the Buds 2 Pro is unlikely to receive fresh functionality at this stage of its lifecycle.

Samsung may be rolling out the update to Galaxy Buds 2 Pro units in other regions as well. Users can check for availability by opening the Galaxy Wearable app, navigating to Earbuds Settings, and selecting Earbuds Software Update. The standard Galaxy Buds 2 are also expected to receive the update soon, though availability may vary by region.

This update comes after a significant gap since the last software release for the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro in July 2025. Wireless earbuds typically receive fewer software updates than smartphones or watches due to limited software complexity, making this release notable for maintaining device performance over time.

Separately, Samsung is developing the Galaxy Buds Able, a new truly wireless stereo earbud model. Leaked information from One UI 9.0 reveals that the Galaxy Buds Able feature a clip-on hook design and may incorporate bone conduction technology instead of traditional drivers. This combination could allow users to remain aware of their surroundings while listening, making the earbuds potentially ideal for workouts and outdoor activities.
