President Lee Jae Myung departed Sunday for state visits to India and Vietnam, beginning a six‑day trip.
Lee left Seoul Air Base in Seongnam on Sunday morning with First Lady Kim Hea Kyung, heading first to New Delhi.
Upon arrival later in the day, he is scheduled to meet with Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar and attend a dinner with members of the Korean community.
On Monday, Lee will lay a wreath at a memorial park dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi before holding a summit with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, followed by an MOU‑signing ceremony and a joint press statement.
He will also take part in a South Korea-India business dialogue and forum with business leaders from both countries before concluding his India schedule with a state banquet hosted by Indian President Droupadi Murmu.
Lee will then travel to Hanoi on Tuesday for a three-day visit. He is scheduled to hold a summit Wednesday with Tô Lâm, Vietnam’s president and general secretary of the Communist Party.
