Dell has redesigned the XPS lineup with a focus on portability and structural changes. The XPS 14 measures 14.6mm and weighs 1.36kg, while the XPS 16 weighs 1.65kg. Both models feature a CNC-machined aluminum body and Gorilla Glass 3. The XPS logo now appears on the lid. The laptops also bring back a physical function row and include a zero-lattice keyboard and a glass touchpad.
The XPS 14 and 16 are powered by Intel Core Ultra 3 series processors with Intel Arc graphics. Dell claims up to 57% and 78% faster AI performance on the XPS 14 and XPS 16, respectively. Configurations go up to Intel Core Ultra X7 358H with up to 32GB LPDDR5X RAM. The thermal system includes larger fans, enabling improved airflow, reduced surface temperatures, and quieter operation.
Dell claims up to 27 hours of Netflix streaming and over 40 hours of local video playback. The laptops feature InfinityEdge displays with options including 2K LCD and up to 3.2K Tandem OLED panels. The displays support reduced power consumption and Eyesafe technology.
The laptops include a quad-speaker setup with spatial audio and an 8MP webcam. Dell has used recycled materials in key components and offers modular USB-C ports to support repairability. The devices are ENERGY STAR certified and EPEAT Gold registered.
