CPCRI to hold interaction with farmers at Guthigar on April 29 on managing leaf spot disease in arecanut
The Central Plantation Crops Research Institute (CPCRI), Kasaragod, and Guthigar Primary Agricultural Credit Cooperative Society Ltd. in Sullia taluk will jointly organise an interaction programme with arecanut growers on 'managing leaf spot disease in arecanut plantations', at Guthigar on April 29.
The programme has been organised at the Deendayal Raitha Sabhabhavan of the society to mark one year of the community-level demonstration project on the management of the disease in arecanut gardens.
MP for Dakshina Kannada Capt. Brijesh Chowta will attend the programme as the chief guest. MLA for Sullia Bhagirathi Murulya; president of CAMPCO S.R. Satishchandra; director of CPCRI K. Balachandra Hebbar; chairman of CPCRI's Quinquennial Review Committee T. Janakiram; All India Areca Growers' Association president Mahesh Puchchappady, and others will participate in the function, according to CPCRI.
