“Top knock”: Fans goes berserk as KL Rahul scores a phenomenal hundred vs PBKS in IPL 2026

KL Rahul, the veteran Indian batter, has pulled out an absolutely stunning hundred, his sixth in IPL history against the Punjab Kings, and has threatened their winning streak in this season.

Coming into the Arun Jaitley Stadium, KL Rahul had a lot to prove for his team after he could not meet the demands for his team despite some good knocks in the earlier games. Though runs were coming for KL, his strike rate, as always, has been a massive concern.

However, when it mattered the most for Delhi, Rahul played the finest hand in a record-smashing century against the Punjab Kings, one of the most decent-looking bowling lineups in the competition, especially in the middle-overs.

The Arun Jaitley Stadium is often known as one of the better tracks to bat on, and the ground dimensions often help the batter to clear the fence with ease. Rahul has done that every time the PBKS bowlers have given him the balls that were there to be hit.

Striking at over 200, Rahul reached his century off just 47 balls and had smacked 12 boundaries and 5 sixes until reaching the 100-run mark. He continued the rampage after his century as well, taking 24 runs off Vijaykumar Vyshak's third over.

Rahul's century is the 6th in his IPL career, which equals his record with the great Chris Gayle, while he has now gone past Sanju Samson, another wicketkeeper from India. He is now only behind the likes of Virat Kohli and Jos Buttler in the list of most IPL centuries.
