The IMD has issued a heatwave alert for Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh until April 24, with additional warnings for Delhi, Bihar, and others. Hot and humid weather is expected in various states, along with a gradual rise in temperatures across central India.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a heatwave alert for Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, predicting that high temperatures will continue to persist in theses regions until 24 April. Other states on IMD’s yellow alert for heatwave include Delhi, Bihar, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. The weather office further forecasted hot and humid weather conditions for Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and West Bengal.
