Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge enjoyed a strong weekend, even with tough competition from Akshay Kumar's Bhooth Bangla and the Hollywood biopic Michael. But on its 40th day (6th Monday), the film saw a sharp drop in earnings compared to Sunday.

On day 40, Dhurandhar 2 collected about Rs 1.05 crore in India across roughly 2,800 shows, after earning Rs 3 crore on Saturday and Rs 3.40 crore on Sunday. This means Monday's business fell by around 69% from Sunday's figures.

With its day 40 earnings added, Dhurandhar 2 has reached around Rs 1,131.64 crore net and Rs 1,354.52 crore gross in India. In the overseas market, day 40 brought in about Rs 0.25 crore, taking its foreign total to nearly Rs 424.50 crore. Together, the worldwide gross now stands at roughly Rs 1,779.02 crore, just short of the Rs 1,780 crore mark.

Dhurandhar 2 opened huge and then slowed down gradually over the weeks:

As the 6th week started, the film earned about Rs 1.55 crore on day 37 (Friday). Then it picked up slightly over the weekend with Rs 3 crore on Saturday and Rs 3.40 crore on Sunday, before dropping to Rs 1.05 crore on Monday.

Monday was not easy for any film. Bhooth Bangla, which had seen a good second‑weekend jump, came back to single‑digit numbers with around Rs 3.65 crore on day 11. Even so, it was still ahead of Dhurandhar 2 and Michael for that day.

The Michael Jackson biopic Michael collected about Rs 2.25 crore on its 4th day in India. So on that Monday, the order at the Indian box office was: Bhooth Bangla, Michael, and Dhurandhar 2. So far, Bhooth Bangla has earned roughly Rs 117.05 crore in 11 days in India, while Michael has made about Rs 18.75 crore in its first four days in the country.

Even though the Monday drop looks steep, it is important to remember that Dhurandhar 2 is already in its 6th week and has become one of the highest‑grossing Indian films ever. At this stage, most films are near the end of their theatrical run and naturally see lower collections. The fact that it is still adding over Rs 1 crore a day in India, despite new releases and heavy competition, shows how strong its overall box office run has been.
