Shubman Gill brutally trolls MS Dhoni and CSK with sensational Instagram post

Gujarat Titans (GT) captain Shubman Gill grabbed massive attention across social media after sharing a playful Instagram post following their win over Chennai Super Kings (CSK). After the match, Gill posted pictures holding a yellow whistle with the caption "Nandri Chennai," teasing the passionate CSK fans.

Gujarat Titans defeated Chennai Super Kings by eight wickets at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Sunday, April 26. The Shubman Gill-led team ended their two-match losing streak and helped them climb to fifth position on the points table, with eight points from eight matches in the ongoing IPL 2026 season.

After securing a memorable victory against the Chennai Super Kings, Shubman Gill shared multiple photos from the Gujarat Titans team flight while heading home. In the post, Gill held the iconic yellow whistle, delivering a playful dig at MS Dhoni and the passionate CSK fan base on social media.

For the first time, Gujarat Titans defeated the Chennai Super Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. In previous IPL seasons, including 2023 and 2024, the Titans had suffered defeats at this venue, making this win even more significant for the franchise.

Gill is also in excellent form in the ongoing IPL 2026 campaign. He has scored 330 runs in seven matches at an average of 47.14 and a strike rate of 148.64, including three half-centuries.

Shubman Gill won the toss and chose to field first. Kagiso Rabada made an immediate impact during the powerplay, picking up three key wickets and putting Chennai Super Kings under early pressure. He finished with outstanding figures, conceding just 25 runs.

After the early collapse, captain Ruturaj Gaikwad attempted to rebuild the innings with a calm and composed approach. He anchored the batting effort with an unbeaten 74 off 60 balls, helping Chennai Super Kings recover slightly and post a total of 158 runs on the scoreboard.

Chasing a target of 159, Shubman Gill provided a steady start by scoring 33 off 23 balls. After his dismissal, Sai Sudharsan took complete control of the chase, playing fluent strokes and rotating the strike effectively to maintain the required run rate and guide Gujarat Titans to a comfortable finish.

Sai Sudharsan finished as the top scorer with 87 off 46 balls. Jos Buttler remained unbeaten on 39. Gujarat Titans comfortably completed the chase in 16.4 overs. Shubman Gill praised the team's strong and clinical performance.

"Very happy to get a win like that in this part of India. Apart from the last four or five overs, it was a complete performance. If I have to be critical, finishing an innings has been a problem. We need to do better in that," Gill said after the match.

"There was some confusion in the middle. When Dube came in, I thought about whether to bowl Washington Sundar, but the game was in our hand. Manav Suthar bowled a decent last over, conceding around twelve or thirteen runs. Overall, it was a pretty good effort from us," Gill added.
