High hopes ahead of the signing of the New Zealand-India Free Trade Agreement in New Delhi tomorrow
The deal will eliminate or reduce tariffs on 95 percent of our exports to India – which is the world's most populous country.
Beef and Lamb New Zealand Chair, Kate Acland, says the Indian market has been challenging due to a 33 percent tariff on sheep meat.
She says exporters will be able to develop a new market for lamb – which could potentially be a huge one.
