US to strengthen India partnership through Special Envoy Charles Harder’s visit, says Sergio Gor – CNBC TV18
US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor noted that the collaboration is based on practical solutions designed to expand opportunities and support development.The United States is focusing on strengthening its partnership with India through new cooperation efforts involving public-private partnerships and co-investment models.
"The US is working to strengthen its partnership with India through the visit of Special Envoy for Best Future Generations Charles Harder," wrote US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor on social media platform X.
He said the initiative was being advanced in coordination with Harder's visit to India.
The collaboration is based on practical solutions designed to expand opportunities and support development through joint investment between the public and private sectors. Gor said. "We're working on practical solutions that build human capital for long-term stability and growth," he added.
Earlier this week, Harder, along with his team, visited the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) in India to discuss possible cooperation in the area of child rights. During the meeting, he appreciated the work being done by NCPCR to protect and promote children's rights in the country.
He also appreciated the various initiatives taken by the commission in this field. Along with this, he shared some of the best practices followed by the US government related to child welfare and protection.
Harder even visited CM Shri School, Sarojini Nagar, on April 21. He observed the Mid-Day Meal program, Career Counselling, ICT Lab, and Language Lab, and interacted warmly with students.
Earlier, Gor said that Washington and New Delhi are making steady progress towards finalising a bilateral trade deal and appreciated the ongoing efforts from both sides. He also announced that an Indian delegation will be travelling to the United States this week for key discussions.
"The Indian trade delegation will be arriving in Washington this week. A great step to finalise our bilateral trade deal. A win-win for both nations!" he wrote on X.
