As the world watches rapid developments from Islamabad to Tehran to Washington, here are the key market cues Indian market watchers should track today:

1: Gift Nifty: Trends on GIFT Nifty indicate a negative start for the broader index in India, with a decline of 141 points or 0.57 percent. Nifty futures were trading around the 24,434 level.

2: Q4 results: The earnings season is in full swing. Quarterly results of SBI Life Insurance, Tech Mahindra, Trent Ltd, and Havells will be announced today. On Tuesday, IT major HCL Tech reported its March quarter earnings, posting a 4.2 percent rise in consolidated profit after tax to Rs 4,488 crore, compared with Rs 4,307 crore in the year-ago period. Sequentially, post-tax profit increased 10.10 percent, the company said in its results announcement. Tomorrow, IT bellwether Infosys will declare its Q4 results.
