Srinagar- Ahead of the first anniversary of the Pahalgam terror attack, the Indian Army on Tuesday reiterated its resolve to counter terrorism, warning that any breach of “the boundaries of humanity” would invite a decisive response.

In a post on X, the Army said, “When boundaries of humanity are crossed, the response is decisive. Justice is served. India stands united.” The message was accompanied by a visual referencing Operation Sindoor, with the caption: “Some boundaries should never be crossed. India does not forget.”

The April 22, 2025 terror attack in Pahalgam’s Baisaran Valley had left 26 people dead and more than 20 injured, most of them tourists.

In response, the Indian armed forces launched Operation Sindoor on the intervening night of May 6 and 7, 2025, targeting terrorist infrastructure across the border.

According to officials, the coordinated strikes hit nine locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK), aimed at dismantling camps used by terror groups for training and logistics.

More than 100 terrorists, including trainers, handlers and aides, were killed in the operation, officials said, adding that those targeted were linked to outfits such as Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hizbul Mujahideen.

Officials said the strikes were carried out with precision to minimise civilian casualties while maximising damage to militant infrastructure.
